Biography

Dr. Zeitouni is a nationally recognized Mohs and reconstructive surgeon, and serves as the Section Leader of Dermatology, Mohs Surgery, and Melanoma with The University of Arizona Cancer Center at DHSJMC. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

She is a national leader in the field of photodynamic therapy (PDT), and known for her work with unusual skin cancer, such as merkel cell carcinoma and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. She has published over 85 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and given numerous national and international presentations. Honors and awards include being named ‘Exceptional Mentor’ in 2012 by the American Medical Women’s Association and receiving the United University Professions Award six times from the State of New York, as well as being named “Top American Doctor.”

Dr. Zeitouni earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Medicine from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and finished her residency in Dermatology at Laval University in Quebec City, Quebec. She completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama, under the mentorship of Gary D. Monheit, MD.
